What is a plastic seal?

Plastic seals are disposable security/management tools used to seal, lock, or label items. It is usually made of plastic material (most commonly nylon, polypropylene, or ABS) and consists of a barbed bar lock and a perforated lock head. Once the lock buckle is inserted into the lock head and stuck, it cannot be pulled out without breaking the seal, thus achieving the purpose of tamper proof.
Its core features are "one-time use" and "tamper proof". If opened, the seal will be visibly damaged, leaving evidence of 'opened'.

Plastic Seal Features:
Plastic seals are mainly used in railway cargo transportation, road logistics, container logistics, port shipping, air cargo, chemical, power group, water group, oil, banking, railway, foreign trade commodity inspection, aviation fuel, inspection and quarantine, etc. to prevent theft The preferred sealing device for leaking. The use of plastic seals is very extensive. Once the plastic seals are sealed, they can not be opened, and the safety is excellent. It is suitable for containers, cash registers, meter boxes, bonded cars and other fields.

Main components and working principle
Lock body: usually a small rectangular or cylindrical box with a one-way locking mechanism inside.

Lock strap (lock needle/lock rope): A flexible or semi flexible plastic strip, with one end fixed to the lock body and the other end having a fine unidirectional barb on the surface.

Operation mode:
Wrap the locking strap around the items that need to be sealed, such as door latches, valves, container door handles, packaging ports, etc.
Insert the free end of the lock strap into the hole of the lock body.
The claws inside the lock body will firmly grip the spikes on the lock belt, allowing it to only move in and not move back.
When the locking strap is tightened to its limit, there is usually a "break point" or a tool is needed to cut off the excess part.
Once locked, the only way to open it is to cut the lock strap or break the lock body, and the traces of the damage are clear at a glance.

Main purpose
The application of plastic seals is extremely extensive, mainly concentrated in the following fields:

1. Security and tamper proof measures
2. Quality Control and Process Management
3. Identification and Information Management

Plastic seal is a cost-effective and easy-to-use "disposable electronic seal". It itself does not provide strong physical locking force, its core value lies in providing a low-cost, visual, irreversible "evidence" that the integrity and state of the protected object are controlled from the date of self sealing strip application. Once the seal is broken, it means that unauthorized access may have occurred, triggering inspection, rejection, or investigation processes.
